February 26, 2022

ATTENDEES: Robert (Bob) Clapper, President; John Carr, Vice President; Patricia (Pat) Adams, Secretary; and Debbie Darby, Treasurer.

ABSENT: Ros De Giaxi Silva, Vice President

Bob Clapper opened the meeting at 9:53 a.m. at the Lake Elsinore/Wildomar Elks Lodge in Wildomar, CA.

Bob welcomed everyone who was in attendance and thanked Gary & Pat Adams for hosting this annual No Rain Rally.

SECRETARY'S REPORT: Pat Adams read the October 30, 2021 meeting minutes. Scott Rose made a motion, seconded by Dwayla Carr to approve the minutes as read.

TREASURER'S REPORT: Debbie Darby read the report with a balance of $15,015.68. She reported we have only 87 WRC members. We had 6 new members added in Camp Verde. She has made the deposit for the September rally in Montrose area of Colorado and for October rally in Winchester Bay, Oregon. She also explained that the WRC (along with all the ACA Chapters) contributed $200 to the ACA Web site Manager, Doug Thompson for his extraordinary efforts. Pat Hasty made a motion to approve the Treasurer's report, seconded by Jeannine Caldwell. Approved as read.

OLD BUSINESS: Bob reported on the recent death of several WRC members; Joanne Lamb, Chuck DaMart, Wayne Froboese, Bill Dettmer, and Tom Jordahl.

RALLY: Bob reported that this year we will not be going to the Balloon Fiesta as it is too close to our planned trip to Winchester Bay. The Rolling rally to the National rally in North Carolina is now posted on our ACA website. At this time, we have 10 participating in the rolling rally from California to North Carolina with several others (+ or - 5) who will either meet us along the way or see us in North Carolina. At this time the national rally has 115 coaches signed up. The Caldwell's and Rose's will travel north while others; Clappers, Adams, Darby, De Giaxa Silva, and Daily's will travel a southern route back to the west coast.

Bob spoke of the planned rally "Colorado Gold Rush" in San Juan-Montrose County in Colorado, September 22-25, 2022. Chuck & Darla Chase will be hosting this rally. The Caldwell's & Carr's will host the Winchester Bay Clam Bake rally October 20-23, 2022. In both instances you will make your own reservations. Pat Adams spoke of a nice RV Resort in Casa Grande, AZ if a host could be identified it may be a great location for a rally in 2023. It may even be a location to tag onto the Balloon Fiesta in October.

The National rally in 2023 will be in Sevierville, Tennessee, and the 2024 will be hosted by the Great Lakes Chapter in Amana, Iowa

NEW BUSINESS: Bob asked for a motion to change our current website to better display the Western Regional Chapter information when doing a web search. Debbie Darby made a motion, seconded by Jerry Scott to ask the web site coordinator, George Johnson, to make the appropriate changes. Vote taken and passed unanimously.

New swingers for badges to display Western Regional Chapter will be ordered for those needing them.

T-AWARD: Phyllis Nichols wanted to nominate her husband, Roy for the T-award, but there wasn't an actual specific thing that he did to be worthy of the award. So, Ros will still carry it.

Pat Adams thanked the Bennett's for their contribution of the salad for our dinner.

Debbie Darby made a motion to adjourn, seconded by Gary Adams. Meeting adjourned at 10:32 a.m.

Respectfully submitted,

Pat Adams
