Ah Summer! A great time to spend time on the road enjoying our beautiful American Coach motorhomes. Many of our SoCal members are taking advantage of the weather and hitting the road. We have folks making their way up to the ACC rally at 7 Feathers in Oregon. Others are planning or are on cross-country trips visiting relatives and friends. Whatever you end up doing this summer, whether it is weeks or months on the road, or just a weekend excursion – just get out there! Enjoy this country and your beautiful motorhomes!

Let me take a moment to welcome our recently elected Board of Directors: Joining me, Beverly Petty – President, are Jim Hinesly – Vice President; Sue Rose – Treasurer; Pat Adams – Secretary; and Sharon Miller – Member-At-Large. Let’s all give a big thank you to departing board members who have served this club well: Art & Sandy Bridges – Treasurer and Secretary respectively. Eileen Smoot – Member-at-Large. Eileen has been a Board member for quite some time, including two stints as President and finishing as Member-at-Large. While being a Board member shouldn’t overtax any of us, it is a commitment that these folks have made to continue to keep our club running and to keep it a fun and exciting club. While Sharon Miller still retains a position on the Board, she also has spent many years giving back to the SoCal club. Thanks to all of you for your service to the Club. It is greatly appreciated.

Also let me recognize and thank Bob Daniels who for years has produced an awesome newsletter and directory for our club. Although it seemed to be a labor of love for this creative guy, it was a lot of work and took a lot of time. Thanks Bob (and Kim) for making us the top dog in the American Coach circle of clubs for newsletters. You have left a legacy and will always hold a special place in our hearts. Travel well friends!

What’s coming up? Well, besides our membership going out and about this summer, on October 8 – 11^th Willie & Marilyn Morris are hosting a pre-rally at the former Outdoor Resorts in Las Vegas. We are fortunate that the Fall National Rally is being held in Vegas. It’s so close, it’s a great place to vacation, and most of us can attend this National Rally. Combine that with a pre-rally in Vegas – well it makes it that much sweeter. Willie has reserved 25 sites, so get your reservations in early.

The following rally will be hosted by your Board at Rancho California (Outdoor Resorts in Aguanga). The rally will be November 11 – 14^th, with a patriotic/veteran’s day theme. So put it on your calendar now. This should be the perfect time for a rally – before the holidays and still great weather. Come out and join us and get to see your board hard at work entertaining and feeding you.
